First class treatment has taken on a new form. The Hotelicopter is the latest invention to appease airline luxury passengers, combining a hotel and airline craft into one subset. And finally, a traveling schedule has been announced for the Hotelicopter’s inaugural flight, which will take place at John F. Kennedy’s Internation Airport on June 26th 2009.
Modeled after the Soviet Mil V-12, which took its first flight in 1968 and holds the helicopter heavy lift world record of 44,205 kg (88, 635 lb), the airborne hotel will provide passengers with a number of special accommodations for those long business trips. Each cabinet comes fully equipped with a queen-sized bed, private entertainment system and full bathroom and shower.
Those looking to venture outside of their rooms will explore a number of extravagant options. Participate in yoga classes, gamble at the black jack tables or enter the SkySpa, where a comforting massage, tanning bed, sauna and jacuzzi await you.
